We get this question more and more. Early panel type TV sets had analog audio output. In recent years, this feature was removed. Most TVs do have an optical output, also known as Toslink. The connection looks like a small square hole with a cover. You simply insert a Toslink cable, and connect it to a digital to analog converter like the one pictured here. Connect the audio cables from the converter to the AUX input on your stereo, and you are all ready to go! By the way, you can also use a Tuner input or tape inputs. Just not a phono input.
